$9,250,000 – Fraud Claim Against Boston Men’s Health Center (Sept. 2009)
Our client was treated at a Boston Medical Group facility in Georgia for erectile dysfunction and suffered permanent injuries as a result. Employees of Boston Men’s Health Center, Inc. falsely misrepresented their treatment as safe and as a “cure” for erectile dysfunction. The case was tried to verdict in DeKalb County State Court, with the jury awarding $750,000 in compensatory damages and $8,500,000 in punitive damages.

$5,000,000 - Brain Injury Cause by Work Place Accident (March 2007)
Our client was a technician who suffered skull fractures and a brain injury when he fell from a ladder while working on an indoor crane. The defendant denied that it caused the accident and offered only $50,000 before trial. Our partners tried the case in two and a half days. A Hall County jury awarded the worker $4,000,000 and his spouse $1,000,000 after a two and a half day trial. It is the largest verdict in Hall County history and was the first verdict over $1,000,000 in the county.

$3,995,000 - Failure to Diagnosis Lung Cancer (December 2004)
Our client was a married father of three and a practicing physician who was diagnosed with lung cancer. One year before, a chest x-ray was taken which showed a lump in the client’s lung, but it was missed. Our firm was able to recover this amount prior to the client’s death, eliminating his concerns for his family’s financial future.

$3,862,000 – Medical Malpractice/Wrongful Death (August 2009)
Our clients were the surviving children of a 73-year-old man who was negligently treated at Decatur Hospital. The agency nurse on duty improperly failed to check her patient’s blood pressure during an 8 hour period and failed to detect and report hypotensive episodes, that ultimately led to the patient’s death. The case was tried to verdict in DeKalb County State Court, resulting in a jury verdict of $3,862,000.

$3,427,000 - Defective/Improperly Maintained Truck (November 2008)
Our client was a truck driver who was hired to carry a load using another company’s vehicle. During the trip, the tractor trailer malfunctioned, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and turn over. Our client sustained serious injuries, including fractures to her arm and leg, as well as chemical burns.

$3,025,000 - Brain Injury Caused by Defective Product (December 2003)
Our client suffered skull fractures and a frontal lobe brain injury from a defective product. A lawsuit was filed two months after the incident occurred and settled eight months later. The firm has since obtained more than $1.25M in settlements for five other clients injured by the same product.

$2,500,000 - Legal Malpractice on Wrongful Death Action (May 2005)
Judgment obtained against Arkansas law firm and attorneys who mishandled a wrongful death and personal injury case out of DeKalb County, Georgia. The attorneys failed to timely notify the State of Georgia of the clients’ claims, which included the wrongful death of a wife/mother. The attorney’s negligence prevented the clients from filing suit.

$1,300,000 - Failure to Diagnose Internal Bleed/Bed Sore (2006/2007)
Our client received permanent and serious injuries when his physicians failed to timely diagnose an internal bleed, which almost resulted in his death. The client subsequently sustained a Stage IV bedsore as a result of nursing negligence.

$1,250,000 - Wrongful Death of Thirteen Year Old Girl (July 2007)
This case involved the death of Sarah Crider at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta. Sarah’s death was featured on the front page of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as part of a probe into Georgia’s mental health system. Sarah died when her providers failed to timely diagnose and treat a bowel obstruction. We were able to obtain this settlement prior to filing suit. Sarah’s death has sparked a federal investigation into Georgia’s mental health system.

$1,250,000 - Workplace Accident Resulting in RSD (October 2005)
Our client was a computer technician who suffered a crush injury when a worker lowered the forks of a pallet jack onto his foot. While the client had no factures, he was subsequently diagnosed with reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD), for which there was no cure.

$1,000,000 – Work Injury/Wrongful Death (September 2009)
Our client was a 41-year-old veteran of the U.S. Navy who was fatally injured when making a delivery to a customer facility. The defendant’s employee negligently dropped a large generator on our client, killing him instantly. Cash, Krugler & Fredericks, LLC was able to resolve the case without filing a lawsuit.

$1,000,000 - Wrongful Death of State Mental Health Patient (November 2008)
This case involved the death of Michael Webb at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta. Like Sarah Crider’s case, the circumstances surrounding Michael’s death was featured in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as part of a probe into Georgia’s mental health system. Michael died when his providers failed to timely diagnose and treat a bowel obstruction. The state chose to settle the claim but refused to issue an apology to the family.

$750,000 – Medical Malpractice (August 2009)
Our client was a 57-year-old pastor whose primary care physician failed to recognize an abnormal lab test result (PSA) and, as a result, failed to refer his patient to a urologist. As a result of this error, the patient developed metastatic prostate cancer.

$750,000 – Tractor Trailer/Trucking Accident (July 2009)
Our client was driving on I-285 when a speeding tractor-trailer struck her vehicle and left the scene of the collision. She sustained serious injuries, resulting in a cervical disc fusion in her neck. The case was resolved shortly before trial.

$685,000 - Negligent Road Design Causing Fatal Accident (September 2005)
Our firm was contacted days before the statute of limitation ran out on this negligent road design and construction case, which involving a hydroplaning accident resulting in one death. We were asked to become involved by attorneys from Alabama. Two other firms reviewed the case and turned the clients down.  The case settled before trial after our experts proved the roadway and drainage system was improperly designed and constructed .

$650,000 - Dump Truck Accident Causing Hip Replacement (November 2008)
This case was tried against the Georgia Department of Transportation when one of its dump trucks drove into a van driven by our client on an Atlanta interstate. The DOT denied that it caused the collision, claiming that our client drive into the back of the truck. A DeKalb County jury returned a verdict in our client’s favor after a two day trial.

$625,000 - Tractor Trailer/Trucking Accident (December 2008)
Our client in this case was struck by a tractor-trailer backing through a strip mall parking lot. He sustained serious back injuries as a result which required surgery. The defendant contended that our client was at fault, but the case settled shortly before trial.

$550,000 – Medical Malpractice – Radiology Error (August 2009)
Our client was injured in a motorcycle accident and treated at a hospital for his injuries. The radiologist failed to note abnormal findings on an abdominal CT Scan, thereby misdiagnosing an internal bleed caused by a gastric perforation.
