John Mabrey – Of Counsel
John Mabrey joined CKF in 2026 after more than 36 years of litigating wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases arising from medical malpractice. Throughout his distinguished career, he has built a reputation as both a formidable trial attorney and highly skilled negotiator, securing dozens of multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements for injured individuals and grieving families.
Known throughout the Southeastern United States as both a powerful trial attorney and strategic negotiator, John has built his reputation not simply on impressive results, but on his deep commitment to protecting clients, holding wrongdoers accountable, and helping families rebuild after life-altering tragedies.
“I feel very strongly that every member of our community benefits from a fair and accessible legal system. It’s been very gratifying to represent clients from all walks of life who are facing challenging times and need the kind of support we’ve dedicated our lives to providing.” – John Mabrey
John’s accomplishments have earned widespread professional recognition. He has been named to the Georgia Super Lawyers list for the past 20 years, including selection as a Top 5 attorney in the Plaintiff’s Personal Injury category in 2026, along with seven years as a Top 10 attorney overall. He has also been recognized by Best Lawyers in America since 2012 for excellence in the practice of law and holds both an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and a perfect 10.0 rating from Avvo.
John earned his Juris Doctor from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Radford University. He remains an active member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Association for Justice, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.
